¹American Funds® The Growth Fund of America® – Class F-3 is not a market Index. It is a mutual fund, and its Index Value reflects the mutual fund’s total return. If you select a mutual fund-linked index Strategy for investment, you will not be investing in the linked mutual fund. You will not be a shareholder or beneficial owner of the fund and you will have no rights with respect to the fund.
² Assumptions: Index performance from 2/3/2005 to 6/30/2026. Back-tested performance until the Live Date (May 29, 2026). Back-tested performance is for illustrative purposes only. Goldman Sachs provides no assurance or guarantee that the Index will operate or would have operated in the past in a manner consistent with the back-tested performance. Hypothetical performance prior to the Index Live Date refers to simulated performance data created by applying the Index’s calculation methodology and strategy to historical prices of the index components that comprise the Index. Such simulated performance data has been produced by the retroactive application of a back-tested methodology and may reflect a bias towards strategies that have performed well in the past. It could therefore benefit from hindsight and from the use of procedures to develop the Index methodology that may have favored certain criteria that performed well in the past but may not continue to perform well in the future. You should carefully consider the assumptions, limitations and potential biases of the back-testing process when evaluating any hypothetical performance data. The historical index information from May 29, 2026 onwards reflects the actual performance of the Index. The hypothetical index performance data from February 3, 2005 to May 28, 2026 is generally based on the historical levels of the eligible Index components using the same methodology that is used to calculate the Index. However, because the net asset values of the Class F-3 share class of The Growth Fund of America® (the “Reference Share Class”) were not available prior to January 2017, the Index Sponsor has used the net asset value data of the Class F-1 share class of The Growth Fund of America® (available under Bloomberg ticker “GFAFX US Equity”, the “Alternative Share Class”) as a proxy for the Reference Share Class. The performance of the Alternative Share Class has been adjusted to reflect the difference in expense ratios between the Reference Share Class and the Alternative Share Class at the time of the Launch Date, such that the hypothetical historical performance of the Index is intended to approximate the performance that would have been observed had the Reference Share Class been live during such period. In addition, the futures contracts used to calculate servicing costs for the Fund Asset — the Adjusted Interest Rate Total Return Futures — were only listed on the CME on September 18, 2020. In light of this, before the launch date of the Equity Funding Cost Reference Rate on September 25, 2020, the historical values of the Adjusted Interest Rate Total Return Futures were backfilled by Goldman Sachs for back-testing purposes based on its internally modeled estimates of equity funding costs. No future performance of the Index can be predicted based on the simulated performance or the historical returns described herein. Performance figures are net of servicing costs (based on notional positions) and rebalancing costs (based on turnover).

The GS American Funds® GFA 15% Index is an excess return index. Indexes calculated on an excess return basis include calculation elements that reduce index performance. Because of this, an excess return version of an index will have lower performance than a total return version of the same index would, especially in high interest rate environments. Some excess return indexes also deduct a notional charge(s) in calculating index performance. This deduction(s) will reduce the potential positive change in index performance and increase the potential negative change in the index performance.
